Images from the former Ballet Institute • Photo Exhibition

Drechsler Palace on Andrássy Avenue has served in many roles during its rich history of 135 years. Being home to the former Ballet Institute is still one of the most iconic cultural functions we all remember. In collaboration with the Hungarian Dance University, DVM group – the general contractor of the building’s rejuvenation – took the important social initiative to pay tribute to the architectural, artistic and cultural heritage of the future W Budapest hotel with a photo and video shoot. Different parts of the building – beautiful even in their demolition phase – served as ideal backdrops to visually emphasize the refined figures and perfect movements of a new generation of ballet dancers. This exceptional collaboration gave us a unique opportunity to capture the interconnectedness of different art forms: architecture, dance, photography and film.

You are cordially invited to our street photo exhibition
open from 24 June to 5 July 2021
